South Africa
the effective pain solution without surgery

Dr. Bell

You will find valuable information that has changed the lives of thousands of people around the world struggling with pain.

I studied medicine at the University of Stellenbosch and completed my training in 1995. I did my internship at Tygerberg hospital. From there we moved to Bethlehem in the Free State where my wife and I worked as medical practitioners at the provincial hospital.

We spent 7 years in Canada from 1998-2005 where the main focus of my work involved emergency Medicine, general practice. It was here that I've seen hundreds of patients taking chronic pain medication for various conditions.

I did further training in America on Prolotherapy and attended various conferences with the highly esteemed Hackett-Hemwall foundation. I strive to offer the best of both conventional and nutritional medicine to my patients.

Our goal is to see people vibrant and well and we use various modalities to achieve just that.

Over and above Prolotherapy I also have a special interest in:

  • preventative medicine
  • bio-identical hormone replacement therapy
  • sports injuries

Dr. Gouws

As living an active lifestyle is my passion, I strive to enhance people’s lives and assist in changing their lifestyles.

I am dr Gerrit Gouws, and studied medicine at the University of Pretoria. I completed my training in 1998. I did my internship at Tembisa hospital and serve my community service year in a rural hospital close to Burgersfort, Mpumalanga. From there I moved to Pretoria where I practiced medicine as a General Practitioner in one of the biggest private practices in South Africa. I also spent a year as a surgical intern at the Pretoria Academic Hospital and completed my post graduate exam in Anatomy.

In private practice I was exposed to the amount of patients taking chronic pain medication for various reasons. I treated a lot of patients with migraines and developed injection techniques to ease their pain more effectively than medication could. In my research I was exposed to Prolotherapy and after attending conferences in America with the highly esteemed Hackett-Hemwall foundation, I returned to South Africa and joined up with Dr Walter Bell.

My wife and I moved to Parys in 2011, and this is where I mainly focus on Prolotherapy. My other passions and special interests include:

• Nutrition

• Preventative medicine

• Sports injuries

• Life coaching

• Cancer

• Chronic fatigue
